News I have added a project management blog to the site, and will periodically post notes to that blog. I welcome feedback, conversation, and constructive debate. I am pleased to announce that I am working with D2M Consulting, LLC as a consulting partner.  I also periodically blog on that site, as do my colleagues.  Please check it out. With over eight years in the games and gaming space, I will blog on these subjects and plan to add some content to this site pertinent to games and gaming related topics, as well as some other technology related topics. I am pleased to announce the launch of a customizable promotional products website, Green Monster Promotions, a D2M Consulting project.

Top notch Software, Systems, and Business Project Management and Program Management are comprised of many aspects.  A simple definition of project management is keeping track of all project activities, driving all team members towards the common goals, and keeping all stakeholders apprised of progress and obstacles.  Program management generally refers to a set of related projects.  I discuss the differences between project management and program management in greater detail on a separate page.

In reviewing this site, you will see other elements of project management as well. These include managing a software development team, managing risk / contingency planning, and quality assurance management. You'll also find some information about requirements gathering, requirements documentation, requirements management, and testing against requirements. 

With a focus on small companies, there is a section dedicated to project management in small company environments.
